1. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the authorized body in the field of territorial defense (hereinafter referred to as the authorized body).

2. Authorized body:

1) submits proposals to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the main directions in the field of territorial defense, as well as its planning;

2) approves the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of territorial defense within its competence;

3) provides the territorial troops with weapons and military equipment;

4) develops rules for the preparation and conduct of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5) develops a list of objects of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

6) exercises state control in the field of territorial defense;

7) exercise other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Territorial Defense dated June 30, 2025 No. 201-VIII SAM

This Law regulates public relations in the field of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
